Edinburgh café owner killed in Kabul attack

An Edinburgh café owner has died along with 11 other people in a suicide bomb attack in Kabul.

Jeni Ayris ran Ndebele, a South African deli and café, in the Tollcross area of the capital for over ten years before it closed.

She had worked as a customer relations manager for ACS/Balmoral since September 2011 and returned to Afghanistan in August this year. The 47-year-old was due to return home to Scotland on Friday.
