A unique dining experience which will see guests enjoy a meal at a table 100 feet above the Capital is expected to be one of the highlights of this year's Edinburgh Festival.

The Festival in the Sky will see a specially created dining table, with 22 guests, hoisted above the city by a giant crane in West Princes Street gardens.

It will be the first time the experience has come to Scotland, having proved a huge success in more than 30 countries, visiting cities such as Las Vegas and Paris.

Guests will be fastened into their chairs before the entire dining table is hoisted 100 feet into the air.
