A group of Edinburgh pupils have returned to school with a whole set of trophies to show off to their fellow classmates.

Children from Tollcross Primary and former pupils of the school were met with congratulations after an impressive series of wins at this year’s Royal National Mod in Stornoway.

During the October holiday, pupils, teachers and parents battled miserable weather and raised almost £5000 to make it to the Hebridean island where the Mod, an annual celebration of Gaelic language, literature, music and art, was held.
