City 'not committed' to Gaelic education

Education chiefs were accused of having no respect and of showing "no commitment" to Gaelic education at a public meeting into the future provision of the language in the Capital.

They came under fire from parents who believe their children would be better off in a dedicated school in the city, instead of being based in a unit at Tollcross Primary, where they are currently educated.

Education bosses are consulting on two options following massive increases in the number of children speaking the language.
