A man has been arrested and charged by Lothian and Borders Police during a day of action to tackle bike thefts in Edinburgh.
Officers carried out proactive searches in the city-centre yesterday (Wednesday) as part of Operation Divide, which was set up earlier this year and has so far resulted in 20 arrests and over £20,000 worth of stolen goods recovered.
As a result of the activity a 29-year-old was stopped and searched and arrested on an outstanding warrant from England. He has been returned to Huddersfield where he will appear in court.
