Bands move over for the Edge

Bands at next month's Edge Festival have been moved to a bigger venue after a city nightclub had its licence suspended.

The city's licensing board unanimously voted to take the action against Studio 24 in the wake of a string of complaints about the noise and under-age revellers in May.

Now a number of acts performing at Edge – which was formerly known as T on the Fringe – have been moved to The Picturehouse, a venue on Lothian Road.

Among the acts that have been forced to move are American singer-songwriter Andrew Bird and nineties indie favourites The Bluetones.
