Artful youngsters submit their best efforts

Hundreds of entries from across Scotland have flooded in for the Greyfriars Bobby Children's Painting contest.

Commanding officer of 105 Regiment Colonel Huthwaite will present the winning artist with their prize at Edinburgh Castle on October 4th, after entries have been judged by Capital author and illustrator John Fardell.

There are five age categories, ranging from infant to 17-year-olds, within the competition which closed on September 11th.
