MORE than 20 jobs are expected to be cut at the Edinburgh headquarters of Scotland's biggest law firm.
Dundas and Wilson, on Castle Terrace, has announced it will axe 50 jobs across its three offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London.
An expected 23 will go in the Capital and it is understood that a small number will be partners.
The firm employs 669 staff, including 308 in Edinburgh, but work has dried up as a result of the economic downturn.
Graduate trainees due to start with the firm in 2009 have also been asked to defer for one year.
Managing partner Donald Shaw said: "We must act to rebalance our capacity with our predicted levels of future business."
