Provenance Boutique Wines Newsletter January is almost over but our great Sales have just started. We have on offer a selection of boxed Chateau wines from £20 to £35. The maths are easy: Take a £30 5 litre boxed wine, which is roughly the equivalent of 7 bottles and you end up paying an average of £4.29 per bottle! View our special offers here.
What's the word out there? Well we have spent sometime looking at what was being said in the press, various blogs, Reuters, etc...on boxed wine as an "eco-friendlier" alternative going forward. The latest is that we have a long way to go although UK sales trends are still on the up. The green bottle recycling issue is not disappearing but growing. Already major supermarket chains are investing in alternatives (boxed wine, Tetrapak, plastic bottles) and like the screw tops are now welcomed by the british drinker so too are the quality bag in boxes becoming more acceptable.it. Top producers are prepared to "box" their wines as part of their plea to do their bit on the environment front. No one says it is 100% green but it's a big improvement and every little helps! For Provenance Boutique Wines the emphasis is not only on quality, or easier recycling alternative but also in reducing carbon foot print by being able to import bigger volume in the same container. We only work with small producers to not only guarantee a provenance, but quality as well. Also by working with winegrowers who still do their jobs using at least 70% of traditional techniques our wines are kinder to the environment. Our wines are not all certified organic but all the winegrowers we work with are dedicated to taking the most responsible approach when it comes to farming. Tastings can be easily arranged if you would like a try before you buy! More and more people are buying locally produced or/and organic food but when it comes to wine, we still have "suspicious minds" (is that a song?) No one will argue that opening a bottle is a pleasure, but at Provenance Boutique Wines we give you a quality alternative and with the January sales on, it gives you a cheaper option to try it! Tasting Coming up in February is a private tasting for a networking group in Edinburgh and 30 of their members. And as ever, if you would like your own tasting with friends, family, colleagues, don't hesitate to send us an email at |
