Barman died after binge drinking in a nightclub
A BARMAN who died after drinking a large quantity of alcohol in a nightclub was a binge drinker who often fell asleep when drunk, a fatal accident inquiry heard yesterday. On the second day of the inquiry, his flatmate, Rachel Simnett, 39, said she had not been worried after seeing Stuart Foster, 27, pass out at the bar at the Cavendish club in Tollcross, Edinburgh, in 2004. She said: "We'd go out and drink as much as we could in a short time." She drove him home to their shared flat, but left him sleeping in the car. She called an ambulance the next day, 11th June, 2004, when she found him unconscious and not breathing. The inquiry continues. Source: The Scotsman |
