     Police ask public for assistance to trace relatives

Police are appealing to relatives of a man who died suddenly in Edinburgh to get in touch.

William Macintyre Young, 59 years, of Caledonian Crescent, died on Monday (28th May) at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Police are now trying to trace next of kin to make them aware of his death.

Mr Young was born in Edinburgh on 21st April 1948 to Robert Young and Jessie Edington or Young (both now dead). He was an only child and stayed in the city all his life. He worked as a librarian, retiring in 2002 due to ill health.

He never married or had any children.

A police spokeswoman said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who knew Mr Young and could help police trace his relatives."
