Lothian and Borders Police press release

A 22-year-old woman and her friend (age unknown) were walking west along the path at about 11pm, when a man overtook them. He then turned round and exposed himself to the women, while walking past them in the opposite direction towards the Meadows.

He has very thick, dark, wavy, shoulder length hair with some grey flecks through it, shorter at the sides than the back. He was wearing a khaki-coloured peaked hat, a green or khaki-coloured T-shirt, beige knee-length shorts, and brownish coloured walking boots.

A police spokeswoman said: 'This has been an extremely unpleasant experience for the women involved. We are looking to talk to anyone who may have any information about the incident to come forward as soon as possible.'
