THE Royal Lyceum [3] is to appoint a new executive director to join its management team.

The theatre, in Edinburgh since 1965, is creating the new role to help its chief executive and artistic director Mark Thomson.

It will involve implementing the theatre's business strategy and managing its financial, commercial and admin activities.
