150 tonnes of waste bicycle kept out of waste stream

The Bike Station

A POPULAR bike recycling charity is on the brink of receiving its 10,000th donation.

The Bike Station on Causewayside will reach the 10,000 bike total within the next two weeks.

To mark the occasion, whoever donates that bike will receive a £50 voucher to spend in the One World Shop on Princes Street.

The 10,000 bikes equates to 150 tonnes of waste bicycle kept out of the waste stream in four years.

This has improved the recycling rate in Edinburgh.
