Police are trying to trace relatives of a pensioner who was found dead in his Edinburgh flat yesterday morning (May 21st).

The body of John Connor, 77 years, was discovered in his flat in South Fort Street.

There are no suspicious circumstances.

A police spokesman said: 'Despite extensive enquiries we have been unable to trace any of Mr Connor's relatives.

'We believe he was married and does have children and would appeal to anyone who might have known him or his family to contact us.'
