
The Scottish Arts Council says a scaled-back revamp of the Usher Hall may not develop the venue to "21st century standards".
It emerged this week that a £566,000 grant pledged by the body towards the refurbishment has been put on hold until the concerns are addressed.
Urgent savings had to be made after a series of complications arose once building work had begun.
