Search for real sporting heroes begins here!

Campaign to help people beat the winter blues
We have launched our hunt to find Edinburgh’s greatest Healthy Hero as part of our “Feel Good” campaign to help people across the city beat the winter blues.

Search for real sporting heroes begins here!

We are looking for a shining, healthy ambassador to prove that participating in regular exercise can indeed overcome the January blues. Edinburgh’s Healthy Hero will get the chance to keep up the good work over the next year by winning a free Edinburgh Leisure 12 month fitness membership, providing unlimited access to 17 gyms, 11 pools and over 450 weekly fitness classes across the city (normally worth £41 per month).

There are a whole host of reasons as to why so many people take on sporting challenges such as a gruelling marathon, a cross channel swim, or climbing to the top of mountain summits. Some people may want to break records, others want to beat their own personal best, or are perhaps simply fulfilling a lifelong dream.

There are also a number of incredibly inspirational people who push themselves to the limits for charities close to their heart, for someone very dear to them, or who even tackle adversity despite physical disabilities of their own. We are looking to hear from all of these people in our quest to find Edinburgh’s greatest Healthy Hero.

Nominations should be sent by email, also detailing why, to edinburghhero@dada.co.uk by Wednesday 16th January.
