[3]Police want to speak to Susan Airlie after man released from hospital.

Susan Airlie, 26 years, is described as 5ft 1ins tall, long brown hair, pierced eyebrow, brown eyes, wearing black Reebok jacket with pink stripes, pink top, blue jeans and white trainers.

She was last seen about 1am today (January 3rd) following an incident in the Drylaw area of the city where she lives.

This resulted in a 59-year-old man being taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and then released after treatment for injuries.

A police spokesman said: "We are concerned for Susan's welfare as no one has heard from her since the early hours of today (January 3rd).

"We would appeal to anyone who knows where she might be staying or recognises her description to contact police. We would also like her to contact us to let us know that she is safe and well."

Abduction: man in court

A 41-YEAR-OLD man was expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today on abduction charges.

He has been charged with the abduction of Susan Airlie, 26.

He has also been charged with the attempted murder of a 49-year-old man following an incident in the Drylaw area on January 3rd.
