CBOs targeting underage drinking and violence
EXTRA foot patrols have been praised by police chiefs for helping to tackle antisocial behaviour in Bruntsfield and The Meadows.

Community officers said the patrols, being carried out as part of the Lothian and Borders force’s Operation Aura initiative, were helping to target underage drinking and alcohol-fuelled violence in the area.

The foot patrols will continue until February 3rd, with officers checking on shops and off-sales outlets to halt sales of drink to youths.
