Officers will photograph the Graffiti tags
POLICE have launched a crackdown on graffiti in the Southside by drawing up a photo gallery of "tags" to trap culprits.

PC Lindsey Thomson, the community beat officer for Marchmont, has asked members of the public to report any graffiti in the area.

Officers will photograph the vandalism in a bid to link a single offender to a number of charges.

PC Thomson said: "Graffiti-tagging typically consists of an abbreviated name or nickname of a graffiti 'crew' or individual."
