    We believe these set of fixtures give us the best chance
Scottish FA President George Peat and Chief Executive Gordon Smith are at the Amsterdam Hilton today as Scotland, Netherlands, Norway, Macedonia and Iceland decided on fixture dates for the forthcoming World Cup Qualifiers.

Scottish Football Association

The following dates have been decided:

Saturday 6th September 2008
Macedonia v Scotland

Wednesday 10th September 2008
Iceland v Scotland

Saturday 11th October 2008
Scotland v Norway

Saturday 28th March 2009
Netherlands v Scotland

Wednesday 1st April 2009
Scotland v Iceland

Wednesday 19th August 2009
Norway v Scotland

Saturday 5th September 2009
Scotland v Macedonia

Wednesday 9th September 2009
Scotland v Netherlands

Scottish FA President George Peat commented on the fixtures agreed: ‘We believe that these set of fixtures give us the best chance possible of securing qualification for the 2010 world cup. We are happy that we have no games during our close season and have the final two games at home.

There is always a certain amount of compromise involved in these meetings, but we are satisfied with the outcome.’
