A SEASON of Christmas films is to be shown at the Edinburgh Filmhouse.

Home of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, it is screening a digital restoration of the classic Christmas movie It's a Wonderful Life.

For the younger audience, there is the 1966 big-budget adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen, and two showings of animator Raymond Briggs's Christmas trilogy - The Snowman, Father Christmas and The Bear.
