[3] Police are appealing for help in tracing the relatives of a woman who died suddenly in her Edinburgh home.
Irene McKeown (83) died suddenly in her home in East Claremont Street yesterday (Wednesday). There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
She lived alone in the address since 1986, and was married to John McKeown, who is deceased.
It is believed that the couple may have a son called Michael McKeown, and that he could have lived in the Leith area at one time.
A police spokesman said: 'It is possible that Mrs McKeown may have relatives in the Edinburgh area, and we are keen to make contact with them.
'If any of Mrs McKeown's relatives wish to contact us, then they should do so as soon as possible.
'Similarly, anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of her relatives should also get in touch.'
Anyone with information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131, or Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
