    Police appeal to trace driver
Lothian and Borders Police press release [3] Police are trying to trace a driver who injured a cyclist in Edinburgh last Tuesday (November 13th).

The collision happened at around 7.45pm, in Gorgie Road.

The 35-year-old cyclist was waiting to turn right from Gorgie Road into Ford's Road when a car struck him from behind.

The driver got out of the vehicle to check on the cyclist's condition, but he failed to give his details and drove off.

Since the accident the cyclist has visited hospital, where he was discovered to have suffered a back injury.

A police spokesman said: 'There is no description available of either the driver or the vehicle, other than it was coloured red.

'Nevertheless we are hoping there may have been witnesses to this collision who can help us trace the driver.'

Anyone with information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131, or Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
