The fair is to raise funds for projects including new facilities
The event will take place on Rillbank Terrace, near the hospital, from 1pm until 4pm. The fair is designed to help raise funds for projects including new facilities for families at the hospital, vital medical equipment, and a number of smaller comforts for children in the wards such as toys and games. Staff from the Royal Hospital for Sick Children will be hosting a variety of stalls with gifts to buy, and prizes to be won. A bouncy castle, face painting and ten-pin bowling will be available for youngsters. Entertainment will also be provided by the Edinburgh Samba School and pom-pom dance group the Oxgang Bellettes. There will be a street fair balloon race, with tags on sale for £2 each. "It is always a very colourful and lively afternoon with all the usual fun of the fair, alongside great performances by our entertainers," said Maureen Harrison, director of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation.
