Tollcross Project getting ready for launch...
A NEW boat shed and workshop has been built beside the Union Canal for a community project. The facility will be used by members of the Tollcross Adult Learning Project, which builds and repairs rowing boats and canoes. It will give more local people the chance to get together to learn new woodwork skills. The shed has been built free-of-charge by Bovis Lend Lease, which is building a new office block on Fountainbridge. Jonathan Currie, site manager, said: "This is a great project which gives people a real sense of achievement." Source: Edinburgh Evening News |
