A number of NTS properties feature in an initiative being run by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) to celebrate 100 years of recording Scotland's built environment.

The Treasured Places project asks people to vote for their favourite image out of 100 selected from the RCAHMS archive.

Among the top 100 are images of NTS sites The Pineapple, Falkland Palace, Drum Castle, Newhailes House, Culzean Castle, St Kilda and Canna.

At the end of October a shortlist of the top ten images will be announced and thereafter will compete for votes throughout November, with the winning image being announced in December.

Some of the images will feature in the RCAHMS centenary exhibition to be held in the City Art Centre, Edinbrugh from October 2007 to January 2008.
