Appeal to trace family of man who died suddenly

Lothian and Borders Police press release [3]

Police are trying to trace the relatives of a man who died suddenly in Edinburgh at the weekend.

Brian Taylor, (59), of Royston Mains Crescent in the city, collapsed while at work on Saturday night (September 9th). He was employed as a security guard, working at a building site at West Shore Road, Granton.

He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, but died later that evening.

Mr Taylor had lost contact with a number of relatives, and they may not be aware of his death.

He was born in the Granton area, and has a number of siblings. He was married at least three times, and has at least five children.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: 'We think that Mr Taylor may have a number of relatives who still live in the Edinburgh area, and we are keen to trace them.

'If any of Mr Taylor's relatives wish to contact us, then they should do so as soon as possible. Similarly, anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Mr Taylor's relatives should also get in touch.'

Anyone with any information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131, or Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
