OFFICIALS at the National Library of Scotland are warning that the George IV Bridge building will be closed for a fortnight next month.
From September 10th the library will shut for building work to take place, during which time books, manuscripts, rare literature and music will be moved to the NLS building at Causewayside.
An NLS spokesman said: "A range of reprographic services will be provided, and the business information service Scotbis will continue to provide a full telephone and email inquiry service for users."
The John Murray Archive display will be suspended until the building reopens on September 24th.
The building work is part of the NLS Visitors Centre Project, to be completed in 2008. A temporary inquiry desk will be set-up at the library's Lawnmarket Building.
