Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information about a man who has been missing for a week.

David Hopps, 55 years, was last seen on Thursday 31st May at his home address in Leith.

Mr Hopps's friends and family are growing increasingly concerned that he is missing.

He is described as white, 5'11"- 6'0" tall, stocky build, balding with medium length grey hair at the sides and blue eyes.

When he went missing it is thought that he was wearing a tweed jacket, blue and white shirt, beige trousers and tan shoes.

A police spokeswoman said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who thinks they may have seen David Hopps or heard from him since the end of May. He left his car at home and does not appear to have taken any personal possessions with him.

"Mr Hopps has family links to Durham but has also holidayed in Argyll in the past."
