1913: Scottish novelist, Oswald Wynd, was born. Wynd was born in Japan to Scots parents. He lived there for most of his youth and acquired joint citizenship. Wynd's most well-known work is 'The Ginger Tree', the tale of a Scotswoman's life in Japan in the early part of the century. He also wrote thrillers under the pseudonym Gavin Black.

A brand new Scottish traditional jazz band, playing hot traditional jazz standards spiced with some gospel and blues.

Quattro MacJazz

Quattro MacJazz may be brand new in format but they’re packing 175 years of playing experience into this compact four-man unit. Former Clyde Valley Stomper, Forrie Cairns (clarinet), Lennie Herd (trumpet), Alastair McDonald (banjo and vocals) and Roy Percy (bass).
