Traverse Theatre, Cambridge Street, Scotland's new writing theatre

Today in History

1788: The first steamboat experiment was held on Dalswinton Loch. Robert Burns was farming at Ellisland, just outside Dumfries, when he was invited by his landlord, Patrick Miller, to go out in a small experimental steamboat. The boat, which was fitted with an engine designed by William Symington, was the first paddle-propelled steamboat in the world.

Tollcross State Circus   Juggling
19:00 Saturday, February 16 2008

Welcome...

Interested in juggling, or maybe you are just a bored office worker who whiles away the hours until home-time aimlessly.

You may have seen some mind-boggling juggling tricks ... people juggling 9,10 or 11 balls, tricks that seem all but impossible.

But I can tell you in all certainty that every juggling expert, no matter how gifted, started from the beginning, with 3 balls.

I can still remember the first time I picked up 3 balls and tried juggling with them.

If you can learn to tie your shoe-laces or how to ride a bike, then you can learn to juggle!

The club has been meeting weekly for the best part of two decades.
Beginners welcome.
