Heavenly Hatpins - Thursday 1st May 2008
(Beginners)
7.00pm - 8.30pm
£12pp

The Gallery Beeadshop - Classes and Workshops

Not just for hats!

The hatpin has evolved…they can be used as lapel pins, pashmina pins and hair decorations (with their tips filed off!).

In this class we'll show you how to make a wide variety of hatpins, from simple '123' beaded styles to more complicated 'chaindrop' and 'solar' styles (if you want to know what these are, you'll have to come along to the class!)

For those of you that want something a little bit different…

You will need:
5 silver plated or gold plated hatpin headpins
2 large silver plated or gold plated spiral bead cages
1 smaller silver plated or gold plated spiral bead cage
Mixed selection of medium to large drill hole beads

Head pins, crimps, chain etc will be provided

Things you need to know:

  • A minimum number of participants are required for a class to go ahead. Should we have to cancel a class for any reason you will be offered the choice of another class or a full refund.
  • Should you be unable to attend a workshop please contact us as soon as possible - we may be able to re-allocate your place and offer you a refund.
  • All tools, beadmats and beadboards will be supplied as will an individual light. However, if you wish to bring along your own tools etc please feel free.
  • Please make sure you have all items needed for the class before you arrive.
  • Light refreshments will be provided.
