2001: Bobby Johnstone, Scottish footballer, died. Johnstone was one of the "famous five", the Hibernian forward line of the early 1950s regarded as the finest ever seen in Scottish football. At the time Hibs was among the foremost clubs in Britain, winning three Scottish titles between 1948-1952.
