A site visit arranged to establish impact of development
A CONTROVERSIAL bid to create a new student flat complex overlooking the Meadows has been put on ice. Members of the city's planning committee have agreed to postpone a decision on the scheme and carry out a site visit to establish what impact it would have on residents. Under the scheme, which has been drawn up by the Unite Group, beds for 249 students would be provided in 81 flats on Chalmers Street, each with a communal kitchen and dining room.
