    Appeal for missing 44-year-old
Police are appealing for information to help trace a woman who has gone missing from her home in Edinburgh.

Charis De Biasi (44) was last seen by a friend on Sunday November 11th, and checked into the Royal Terrace Hotel, in Royal Terrace, Edinburgh, on Wednesday November 14th.

She stayed for five nights, and checked out at around 11.20am on Monday November 19th. At the time she was wearing a thigh-length leather jacket, and blue jeans.

She has mental health issues, and police are concerned for her well-being.

She is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, slim build, brown eyes, and long brown hair, which may be tied up to look shorter. It isn't known what she could be wearing, although she may be in possession of an embroidered suitcase.

Charis has an American accent, and holds dual nationality. She moved to Scotland in 2002.

A police spokesman said: 'We don't know where Charis has been since she checked out of the Royal Terrace Hotel on Monday, and we are growing increasingly concerned for her safety.

'Anyone who has seen her, or who has any information regarding her whereabouts, should contact police immediately.'

Anyone with any information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131, or Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
