The first edition of the Pulse Edinburgh features an exclusive interview with ex-pat Scot and Ugly Betty star Ashley Jensen. There are also special seasonal recipes from Nick Nairn and the Sheraton Grand's multiple award-winning chef, Malcolm Webster.

The quarterly magazine, produced by Scotsman Publications, aims to inform readers of the "very best the city has to offer".

The Pulse includes health and beauty, property, travel and celebrity news, and is aimed at readers aged 30 to 50. Around 14,000 copies will be distributed to homes, with more available in shops, restaurants, hotels and other businesses.
