Relive the best years of your life, again!
Following a very successful first year of the James Gillespie’s Oral History Project, ‘Living Stories’, James Gillespie’s High School is having an informal Social Evening at School for Former Pupils. If you are a Former Pupil, or know anyone who might be interested, please let us know. Come along to the School Library at JGHS on Tuesday 18th September from 6.30pm to 9pm and hear about our work and see displays and a film about the School and Former Pupils! James Gillespie’s High School is proud of its past and for over 200 years has provided an excellent and innovative education for its pupils through historic and changing times. The School has also changed over the years, as have the generations of students. However, the desire to provide an appropriate education for every individual remains as true today as it did at the very beginning. The Trustees would like an opportunity to meet and share some light refreshments and a glass of wine with former pupils and Alex Wallace, Head Teacher of the school, would also like to tell you a little about the current work of the school and the new building plans. For those unable to come to the last exhibition, there will be an opportunity to see the main exhibition displays and watch the film of the making of the oral history project. Interested? E-mail frances.jgtrust@googlemail.com or phone Frances Benton on 07711 031 567. Note: Saturday, 11th August, 2007 Source: James Gillespie's Trust
