Wine and dine, Italian style, before curtain-up
A LEADING Edinburgh chef is to open a new restaurant attached to one of the city's top theatres. Richard Glennie, former head chef of Santini's, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, will be opening Zucca at the Royal Lyceum Theatre within the next few weeks. The 45 seat restaurant on Grindlay Street, which will have direct access to the Lyceum, will offer contemporary Italian cuisine. Mr Glennie said: "All I ever wanted to do was have my own restaurant and now my dream is a reality. "We're mad busy at the moment sourcing our best local suppliers and doing our rigorous taste tests for food and wine. "My real aim is to provide a local contemporary Italian restaurant which has first class food at value for money prices." Note: Saturday, 4th August, 2007 Source: Edinburgh Evening News
