Police are trying to trace an off duty student nurse and a man who helped a person they found with a head injury in Edinburgh on 4th July. The 29-year-old injured man was discovered lying on a pavement in London Road around 1.40pm on Wednesday 4th July. He was on the grassy side of the road opposite Windsor Street. The man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and then transferred to the Western General Hospital. He died today (Tuesday) as a result of his injuries. A police spokeswoman said: "We are very keen to trace a woman, who we believe was a student nurse, and a man who helped look after this person before ambulance staff arrived. "We are also keen to hear from anyone else who may have seen what happened or was in the area of London Road on 4th July. "The young woman is described as in her 20's with short dark hair and a yellow t-shirt. "Police are now trying to establish how the man came by the injuries that resulted in his death."
