Kremlin Zoria has announced that tickets are now on sale for Russia's first ever international military tattoo on Red Square in the heart of Moscow.

Over 170 British performers will take part including The Pipes and Drums of The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland; The Pipes and Drums of The 2nd Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles; Scots Guards, 1st Battalion; The Highlanders 4th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland; Royal Air Force Pipes and Drums; University Officers Training Corps; Black Watch and The Royal Signals.

Bringing together the world's best military bands, the event will entertain a 7,000 a night strong audience from 13th – 16th September 2007. Marching out from the Kremlin's St. Saviours Gate, over 1000 performers will deliver four nights of culture meets concert, celebrating military traditions against the famous backdrops of St. Basil’s Cathedral and the Kremlin Walls.

International performers will descend upon Moscow in September from nine countries including Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Denmark while Russia will be represented by the country's best military bands, units, dancers and singers.

Highlights will include performances by one of the world's largest displays of massed pipes and drums, Cossack dancers, Italian flag wavers, large scale re-enactments of historic events and Russian performers donning historic military costumes unseen for many years.

Set to become the European Cultural Event of the Year, Kremlin Zoria will provide a unique cultural experience for those who attend the event, whilst more than 100 million viewers from Russia and other European countries are expected to see televised highlights of the performances.

Vitaly Mironov, Chief Executive of the Kremlin Zoria Foundation, the organisers behind the event, commented “We are thrilled that Britain is involved in Kremlin Zoria. Brigadier Melville Jameson, Senior Advisor to Kremlin Zoria and former Producer and Chief Executive of the world famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo, added “New Tattoo’s emulating the Edinburgh Military Tattoo model are emerging all around the world and are becoming increasing popular and successful".

Approved by the Russian President in July 2006, Kremlin Zoria aims to help promote international tourism links and revive the proud traditions of the Russian military on the world stage.

The event is organised by the Kremlin Zoria Foundation, whose members have been involved with bringing Russian military tradition to similar shows including the world famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
