John Graham of Claverhouse, better known to some as "Bonnie Dundee" - and to others as "Bluidy Clavers" because of his oppression of Covenanters - led an army of Jacobite Highlanders to victory against King William's army of largely Lowland Scots led by Maj Gen Hugh MacKay of Scourie - a Highlander - at the Battle of Killiecrankie.

Meadows Tennis Courts Re-open!
We are delighted to announce that the Meadows tennis courts are now open again. All 16 courts have been refurbished, so why not pop down and try out the new facilities for yourself? The courts are open throughout the spring and summer to all members of the public. You can just turn up and play, but if you’d like to you can also book a court up to 7 days in advance. If the courts are open and unstaffed, you are welcome to play free of charge. Opening Times April, May, June & September
